stingkit / Launch video for X, LinkedIn and Reels

Launch video formats for X, LinkedIn, Reels, Shorts and TikTok

Post the 16:9 version on X, YouTube and Product Hunt, the 1:1 version on LinkedIn and in feeds, and the 9:16 version on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and TikTok. stingkit exports all three from one design in a single click, as 1080p H.264 MP4 at 30 fps, so you don't re-edit the video for each platform.

Where each format goes

PlatformFormatFile from stingkitNote
X16:9 or 1:11920×1080 or 1080×1080 MP4MP4 only (no WebM). 1:1 takes more of the screen on phones.
LinkedIn feed1:11080×1080 MP4Square fills the mobile feed without black bars.
Product Hunt16:91920×1080 MP4 → YouTubeSee the Product Hunt guide.
YouTube16:91920×1080 MP4Add music in YouTube Studio or before upload.
Instagram Reels9:161080×1920 MP4Add a track from Instagram's library.
YouTube Shorts9:161080×1920 MP4Vertical and short, so it's classed as a Short.
TikTok9:161080×1920 MP4Add a sound in the TikTok editor.

Platforms change their limits now and then; the ratios above are the safe choices. stingkit's videos are 10 to 17 seconds, well under every platform's minimum and maximum length for feed video.

Why not crop one video three ways

A 16:9 video cropped to 9:16 loses two thirds of the frame: headlines get cut, screenshots fall off the edge. stingkit's templates lay each format out separately: in 9:16 the text stacks, screenshots move into a phone frame, and the end card is re-centred. You design once and check each format with the 16:9 / 1:1 / 9:16 switch above the preview.

Questions

Which one format should I export if I only pick one?

1:1. It plays well in the X, LinkedIn and Instagram feeds on phones and desktops. Export 9:16 as well if you post Reels, Shorts or TikTok.

Why does X reject my video?

X accepts MP4, not WebM. Firefox without an H.264 encoder exports WebM; export from Chrome, Edge or Safari instead.

How do I add music?

Instagram and TikTok let you add a track in the composer. For X, LinkedIn and YouTube, add it in any video editor before you post. stingkit exports silent videos.
